Humane Education

The NBSPCA advocates humane treatment of all animals and works with the police, government departments, and other groups to promote and educate people on animal welfare issues.

We provide public information on animal care and literature on issues important to animal welfare. Our newsletters bring matters related to animal protection to the attention of our members and the general public. Representatives of the NBSPCA visit schools to educate young people on how to properly care for the animals in their lives.

The New Brunswick SPCA and its Branch Societies promote spay and neuter programs to curb the overpopulation of dogs and cats and we promote responsible pet ownership. We also work in partnership with veterinarian throughout the Province, who frequently provide free or subsidized service to Inspectors and to animal shelters.
